>: (

I hate both blogger and wordpress. GAH. Okay, so blogger is being really dumb. And with wordpress, uhhhghhh. I am so flipping confused on how to put pictures on my wordpress blog and the gosh darn retarded WIP progress bars SUCK. They make me so mad. I thought I might switch back to this here blogger, but I really can't decide. They both annoy me in many different ways and it's so dumb that you either have to pay to change stuff, or you have to find some dumb code that doesn't work and ERGHHGFWGASV..... I'll write more later...

Sorry, been busy.

I am deeply sorry for not writing on this blog a lot recently. Make sure to check back and forth between this blog and my other blog.

I'm not going to say much except for that I may or may not be posting a lot on this blog. I do plan to keep it though. There is no way in heck that I would delete my blog. : ) No worries there.

Beacon Hill? I think I shall

This project looks very pretty, even though the model is a tad bit on the "odd" side... : )

Yep...

NEWS: I have a second blog that I might be switching on and off on what one I write. So if I don't message here in a while you can check back and forth between here and here.

But I will try to post evenly but there are no promises.

I'm off to go knit! : )

looking looking, searching searching

for INSPIRATION!

I am so close to finding the inspiration that I've been looking for. I just haevn't found it yet. I can't wait to go yarn shopping. I kinda started a project that sort of mimic's january one's mitered blanket. But I am not exactly sure that that is what I want to knit. I have so many flipping projects on the needles but I don't have the need or want to finish any. All I currently want to do is to start a project knit it until I get bored, and then have it be POOF done. But that never happens... look at my blue cardigan that I am STILL knitting.... I haven't even touched it in the last 2 months. I don't really feel like knitting the Simply Marilyn sweater because I read on this web site that bashes knitting and crocheting projects that should never be knitted and now it's just sitting in my knitting bag, taking up space and gathering dust. But alas! I WILL finish the dumb project even if it's the last thing I do!

I also have a second blog- The Stick Knits. I like it a lot. It's a cleaner simpler looking blog and I like it. It's just annoying that you have to buy something in order to do something like change the color of links or what not and the only thing that you can really change is the header picture or the context of the sidebars. But hey, a blog is a blog. So I have yet to decide to switch to one or the other or use them both. Currently I am using them both. I won't leave you readers!

I am really glad I only have 7 weeks of school left, even though one of those weeks is finals... gah akk... But hey! Once summer's here I'll be online a lot more! Also I am glad and excited for the next school year because I get to start driver's ed sometime. :) Which will be very useful and nice. :) :) (hehe, double smiles there)

yep... that's about it...

It's been FOREVER!!

Okay, not exactly FOREVER, but you get the point.

In my tennis world recently, I have been rediculously stressed out. I mean the words almost cannot describe it. This current week, I have 4 tennis meets out of 5 school days. The first three were Monday, Turesday, and Wednesday. And the last on is tomorrow. :) I think that right now, I am just plain exhausted. You can't say you've been exhausted untill you've had the last two weeks that I've had. Once you do, then you can say you're exhausted.

Hmmm, in the knitting world... really, nothing besides shifting yarn from one pile in my room to another pile in my room. I think I might clean my room soon. I'm not really sure.

GAH. What am I going to do once tennis is over? :( I wish there was a summer season of tennis. Or a fall season. :)

I think that's it that I'll write about for now. Again-exhausted.

Too many projects? No!

You can never say that a knitter has too many projects. But you can say that a knitter has too much freakishly long amounts of time on their hands...

First off, I'll start with the watermelon socks. Hmmm... I've currently only made one sock so far...

Then, which I am still furiously working on to finish is this yellow skirt. It's like a mini skirt that flairs. Now, guess how many stinking stitches I had to cast on (picture on the left). 448! THEN I had

Life is just amazing

It amazes me how short life is. No, don't worry I'm not going to go into a big hooplah about life life. Just about the life of my poor poor sad little tennis racket. It seems like I just got it yesterday... just kidding, it was more like 5 years ago.

What?! Am I crazy or what?!

So OMG... yeah, I think there was something in the non-fat milk last night because I just randomly decided to knit a skirt. Do you know how insane that is? It's almost as bad as knitting a dress but a skirt is a lot faster.

So, let me tell you the whole story since the cause of being insane was not from non-fat milk... I was just looking around here and I decided to look at the contests or challenges board. Then after looking at the last three months' winners and entrys I see there is a new challenge!!! YAY. Maybe it will be one that's actually fun and interesting, just to let you all know I still like the topics but I was waiting for one to catch my eye, for April/May!! The challenge is for summer knits or knitted objects (mostly going to be clothing) in warm weather. So I was like yay!! THis is exciting, I get to go outside my knitting box of comfort and make something new that I've never tried before! :)

Then I had to start thinking- what could I make that would be amazingly awesome? Hmmm, it can't be sweaters or socks... I mean it could, but that's not what I wanted to make... Then it popped into my head! THen best (in my opinion) idea came to me... what about a mini skirt that pleated like so. Seeing this you all must think I'm crazy. The picture makes it look easy. HA. Not really. So I got some yarn and some couple of pairs of circular needles. Now the pattern called for size 6 circular needles (which I don't have) and also the hip measurement was 29 some inches. I may be skinny but not that skinny. I am at least 35 inches. Here is where the math started coming in to my brain (hint: I was doing all of the math calculations at midnight last night). I had two choices.

One: mathamatically figure all of the stitch ratios and make it so I increase the number of stitches

Two: change the needle size

Guess what I chose. Normally I would choose option one for the challenge, but I was tired and like "no way punk, I'm going for the easier but still works route". So at first I know that there are 4.5 stitches per inch for the 29 some inches measurment. Then I knew that 3.75 stitches per inch would work for 36. something. So typically you would use a bigger needle right? To get less stitches per inch, right? Do I do that? NO. Since my circular needle choices were either 5 US or 10.5 US, I start with the 5 US. After starting a swatch/guage/tension thingie, which I am glad I did otherwise this skirt would only be able to fit a 2 year old, I measured the stitches across, hoping it would be 3.75 stitches... but guess what... it wasn't. It was 4.75 stitches. I got really really really mad. Grrrr. So then I changed needles and started knitting more of the swatch then after 5 or 6 rows of that I measured the stitches and it was.... 3.75!!! YAYA. Am I a lucky ducky or what?

Then the next challenge came up. Guess how many stitches I had to cast on to a 29" needle?

448 STINKING STITCHES.

Do you know how many gosh darn stitches that is? It took me 2 hours (about maybe) to cast on. Thank god I only have 61 rows in the whole gosh darn project. I start with 448, then I end with like 130 something. :) I better win the stinking challenge... it's going to be yellow though. I'll post a picture when I have more progress. Currently, until Mayish this is my project since I need to finish it before then...hopefully...

Very Inspired

I really really really want to knit a colorful afghan. I've been following january one's blog and OH MY GOODNESS!!! She is making the most beautiful blanket/afghan thing with no-sew miter squares that looks like the psychadelic afghan squares pattern but the colors she uses are beautiful. I want pretty yarn like that. I want to get yarn online and a ton of it fro cheap. But noooo... don't have a job yet. Just one more year... I just really want to make something unbelievably amazing that everyone would say wonderful things about. But no, I'm stuck with the same old same old. And I still have those billions of projects going and I feel the tug to start something new even though I know I should be finishing the other projects. I feel like my other projects have put me in a rut. A rut of confusion. I GAAH...

I'm also really mad right now. I'm planning (or was) a surprise birthday party for my mom. It's suppose to be on a Saturday and guess what, my sister is working from 9 to 5:30 and I originally planned to have the party from 12-4ish. But now she wants me to totally change what I had planned and invisioned for the party. She can't get the day off, which is dumb since she hasn't missed a day of work since she started there almost a year ago and she wants me to change the plans so that it is from 6-9 at a resturant. I don't want to do that. If she can't come, then she can't come. When her friends have a party that she wants to go to they don't change the times so that she can go, it's more like if you can make it, great! If you can't then that's too bad. I may be being a little harsh but I don't want my MOM'S party to revolve around her, when it's not HER party. She can plan it next year. Obviously her job is WAY more important than family otherwise she would make the time when everyone else can. A tad bit selfish if you ask me. And you know what, either I can plan everything and it's at noon or she can figure out EVERYTHING (including calling people and getting phone numbers and such and have it at 6. I'm not planning a party that I have no involvment or opinion on. If she is making all of the decisions then she can plan the party.

I know, I know

I haven't posted anything on blogger for the longest time (over a month!) But yes, I'M BACK!!! hehehe... But just as an fyi, I made the tennis team and that plus school has been keeping me very busy, even too busy. But alas! Spring break has finally arrived! :) I LOVE breaks. They are just so amazing.

On the knitting side of things, I have certainly been doing quite some knitting.

Here is a pair of mittens that I finished last month. Hehehe, my dad really like them so I made them for him for Christmas. They softened up very nicely in the wash by the way. (made with Caron 1 lbs.er and some Real Worsted yarn that I got in Bellingham)

Hmmm, other projects... I have been working quite a bit on the navy blue cardigan. I have the complete back done and the whole left side. I am just starting the right side though but it shouldn't take me much longer to finish the side. I really only care about finishing the gosh darn project and freeing two pairs of needles.

I have worked a lot on my watermelon socks. Yep, still working on the first sock. I recently got new yarn and I really want to make socks with them so I am thinking that I might finish up this current sock (hoepfully today) and then knit one sock of the cool yarn and then the other watermelon sock and then the other sock with the cool yarn. OR maybe I should just get another set or two of size 0 dpns (which have recently become my favorite even though every time I make a stitch I feel like the needle is just going to snap...) So right now (following the Yarn Harlot's sock pattern in "Knitting Rules" I am decreasing. I have to decrease 81 stitches to 16..... >:( Not very happy about that but this is after knitting 5 inches straight.... yeah, where it's like 10 rows per inch... >>:( But yes, hopefully I can finish it today.

Then there is the "Simply Marilyn" sweater from interweave knits that has been on hold for quite a while now. No real inspiration with it there... I think I am too lazy and I also don't get why you knit in ribbing for four inches with the bigger needles and then another four inches of the ribbing with the smaller needles and then switch to the bigger needles... whatever. I also have a great fear that I am going to run out of yarn and of course this project is the first major one with multiple skeins or balls of yarn and the DYE LOT... I gah. I just don't want like two inches of the sleeves or whatever to be a different shade of blue... I'll have to play it by ear...

AND THEN... there are a lot of dumb projects that I think would be fun until the second row of knitting and then I ask myself "why am I knitting this dumb project?" then I rip out the two rows and go back to the other major projects I have going on. I think it's because I am trying to hand on to my New Year's resolution of not having a billion projects on the needles and I am surprisingly finding it hard to do... :) But yes... I must trudge on and I will hopefully finish or come close to finishing most of those projects this week... hopefully...

I'm very happy right now :)

Today is the most awesomest day ever. It's yet another snow day!!! Hehe, I told everyone that we would get our February storm one way or another even if it was the last day of February! Hehe... here are some pictures.

So yeah. I am already extemely bored. Not much to do. I might possibly play a Nancy Drew game, read, or watch tv or something. I am just so glad it snowed and I had a snow day. :)

By the way, here's Pat and Rick (get it? Pat-Rick hhee)

we have weird weather in Seattle

So today on my way to fifth period, after lunch, it's starts hailing.

I was like "Oh my gosh! Oh my gosh it was hailing!!!"
and then this other girl was like "no it's not"
And I was like "yeah it is. I was just outside"
she says "I was just outside too."
I reply "It was hailing outside on my way from the A building so whatever."

And then my other kindafriend was so shocked by my response. Too bad. I really don't care because that girl whose was argueing against me doesn't like me for whatever reason and so I really don't care what she thinks about what I say. She can say such crudy stuff to everyone else. Making everyone else around her feel stupid. So she deserves it. Well, then (since this was during math) when we had work time where we could just work on our homework assignment, my partner and this girl who sits across the isle from me and this other witch all sit with the girl I was arguing with. So thanks partner for leaving me again. Since this is like the nth time she's done this to me. What a jerk. I'm sorry but she is. They all are. Whatever. I really really don't care about having a friendship where people don't stand by you or work with you (not trying to copy every answer) and I hate it when I have to be around people who treat me like crap. So too beeping bad! They can go be jerks in their own little corner. I don't care.

Anywho, trying to move away from that rant... knitting currently has no inspiration towards me. And it's making me mad. I think I am currently too stressed to be able to get inspired. With all of my crap friends. If you can even call them friends. Well, continueing on the rant...

I have this friend. Okay? I have been (what I thought) best friends for years (going on 6 or 7). And she keeps on siding with this other girl who says crap about me on myspace. And also hates me for whatever reason. Well, I have no idea how to deal with the friendship of my "best friend" since I don't think I can trust her anymore. The problem is I can't for the life of me give up on a friendship that I have spent almost half a decade working on. And I care about her on a best friend level but it seems like she only sees me as a friend and not a best friend. And it justs bothers me that we're growing apart and that I won't admit it. And when I try to talk to her, I can't think of what to tell her and then when I say things on a serious level, I think that she gets all defensive because then she justs gets all quiet and says she has nothing to say.

Whatever.

I am going to go do stuff.

Blah

Not an exciting day today. I was just very slow. I slept great last night... amazing what happens when you have two additional hours of sleep. It was awesome. Then I got up early enough to wash my hair, change my clothes, and eat breakfast and I was still earlier than normal.

So, as I was reading the Dear Abby, her stories were really boring today, I skipped over to the horoscope section. OMG! I swear I've needed this horoscope forever now. Here's what it said:

"Taurus (April 20-May 20): No one will expect you to take over or get involved wholeheartedly today, so take everyone by surprise. You can be a quick-change artist, and this alone will help you get what you want. 3 stars"

OMGOMGOMG!!!! This is the one thing that kept me in the day. I just felt so good. I felt like I could go up to my so called "friends" who like to talk crap about me and tell them how I feel. I didn't (so far) since the mean person was absent and the other was filing her nails all sixth period. Ohh, but that doesn't mean I still can't. Oh no, they have no idea what they are up against. They better watch it. Not to be over threatening. I would hurt them physically or mentally, but give them a small portion of the crap I dealed with. So there. God, that made me feel so good just to know that.

On the happy knitting trail, I actually haven't done much in the last couple of days. Inspiration kinda left when I had to focus all of my energy on y jerky friends. Again, I can't wait until I graduate and move out.

Some people can just be so low

I am not having a good time. It seems like everyday I wish I was 18 and moving out of the lonely city of Everett. It's so boring here. Nothing ever exciting happens here. I just wish I could move out and start the exciting part of my life. I also want to move away so that I can be rid of the mean jerky people in my life. I wish they would stop saying crap about me.

I guess you could say that I am a tad bit depressed. Not severely though. Thank god. I just don't know what to do about my friend situation. The main question I have is that are my "friends" going to e trustworthy? and how many more years do I have to go through having crudy friends? I've never had extremely good friends since 2nd grade. Once 3rd grade came, there went the friendships. I just wish that I could go back to the years when there were no "cooties" and people would play Pokemon tag. God, I loved Pokemon tag. A huge amount of us would go into the main huge soccer field and run around. I always ended up getting chased because I was the butterfly character and the fire character people always tried to get me. It was so much fun. I miss those days and I wish people now days would grow up and get mature. We aren't in middle school anymore so grow up!

Introducing....RICK!!!

Here are the many pictures of Rick. Isn't he just the cutest little piece of cut up sock that was sewn together? Awwww... I'm make a brother for him today. I'm about almost done (halfway) with the sewing. Then I sew on the eyes and shape the mouth and then I stuff him and close him up. :) I got the idea from the book Stupid Sock Creatures. It's one awesome book. I think they look better when you actually make them versus seeing them in a book because then you can tweek them and change the pattern by a smidgin.

I've also knitted some of my Simply Marilyn Sweater. Not much though. I finished the back piece and instead of starting on the front I'm going to make at least one sleeve and see how much yarn that uses and see if I might possibly need to buy another ball of yarn. I hope not... because of the whole dye lot thingie. What if I can't find the dye lot? I think if I need more yarn, it'll be okay for what little amount of yarn I'd need to se out of it. So yep, I am working on ribbing...doesn't that sound like fun?! I hope Rick can help me knit some of it... j/k!! I love Rick. I gave him to my dad as a birthday present last night. My dad really liked him. :)

My plan for the rest of the day is to knit, sew, and relax. I hopefully can finish Pat and knit the sleeve (one sleeve) today. I will most likely stay up really late tonight to knit in my room. I love 4 day weekends! (It would have been five if last Friday wasn't a "bonus" day-or snow make up day) So yep, I am going to go relax.

Happy Birthday Dad!

Today is my dad's birthday and we have a ton of stuff to do. My plan is to play tennis with him sometime today (hopefully before it starts to rain). My mom and I are planning to go out this early afternoon and get him something. My dad has decided that we are going to have either steak or ribs... or rib eye steak.

I now have a strong urge to knit the wicked pattern. I've been looking at like a billion blogs where people are knitting it. And I'm like GAHHH. I must knit that!

I also found patterns for knitting fruits, like apples, pears, peaches, lemons, limes, and an adorable banana! :)

I have to start getting ready to go grocery shopping with my mom... I hate grocery shopping. It's so boring! And it takes hours to get through the store! I'd rather not go.

I feel very spontaneous on my typing and knitting recently. Today I really don't have much to talk about. I just want to stay home, relax, and knit to my hearts content or finish the sweater that I am working on. So I am sorry if this post seems a little sparatic.

Today's weather: Bright, sunny, almost 60 degrees (more like 55, but hey, close enough). I see a dark, well not dark dark, but darker cloud in the north and I can't tell whether it's coming toward us or away from us. I hope it's going away from us because I really want to play tennis today. I need practice since I am trying out for the team and I really really want to make it. I hope I do... :) It would be awesome if there were no cuts.

Let's see, knitting land... not much to say. I have inpiration to knit fruit and I also want to knit my awesome "Simply Marilyn" sweater. I started it after I got this cool yarn from Let It Rain Yarn in Mukeltio Town Center. It's an awesome yarn store. :) I want a yarn stor like that some day... :) (Oh boy, I must be really bored, I have more smilies in this mush paragraph than anywhere else) :) :) :) :)

soooooo bored..... want to knit but need to get ready to go grocery shopping......

Tomorrow I am going bowling with my friends. That sounds like fun. They are going down with the mad skills of the skill puddle. :)

Well, I can't think of anything else to type. So I'll write either later or tomorrow, which ever one gives me more inpiration.

Crappy Day

Yet another one. Sometimes I wish some people in my life would just realize "hey I'm in high school not middle school". I've been feeling very down in the dumps-even a tad bit on the depressed side since I having been having a horrible time with friends.

Last night was horrible. Okay, so my sister decides to go up to our high school and watch a choir performance for Valentines Day. After the performance, she goes to her car and notices something shiny on the ground. Then it hits her, the passenger's side window is gone. From what she has told me, her bag that contained her math book, graphing calculator, notebook, a pair of jeans, and a hoodie was gone. So obviously they thefts took that. But they did grab the garage door opener or anything from the glove box. So on the phone she is histarical. We haven't found out who did it yet. Hopefully the security cameras at the school were set up. It still freaks me out that anyone could just punch out a window and steal something.

Then going back to my disrespectful 'friends' that I have... oh goodness... I am just surprised that anyone that I know would call me such horrible names. It crushes me since I have never done anything that bad to anyone to deserve and horrid name like that. And then I get a note that talks about how they think 'we're all equal, so stop acting likee a princess. You aren't one' Well DUH I know I'm not a princess, and I don't want to be considered one. I know I am not perfect, but there is no stinking way in hell that I am going to let you throw plastic bags and wadded up pieces of paper balls at my head and stuffed in my hood. What in the hell did I do to deserve such crap from someone? The answer is nothing. Not when I've been called what I've been called. I have done absolutely nothing to deserve that.

I just don't get it. I try to be nice to everyone. Some people I don't like and they don't like me. But in those cases we realize that and try to avoid each other. This person who's throwing crap at me doesn't avoid confrontation but creates it. Not only in her letter is she trying to say she doesn't care whether we're friends, she insulting me!

I'm sick of it.

Note: this sort of thing has been happening since Monday

Finally, USB cord from my sister to save the day!

YAY!!! My sister has allowed me to borrow her old USB cord since she had to get a new camera recently and the new USB cord that she uses for her camera is totally different. And her old camera uses the same type USB cord that mine does.

Oh my goodness! I spent 6 hours today knitting! I am a psycho when it comes to knitting marathons-as long as there is a good show that's on for 2 or 3 hours so I can contently knit without feeling like a freak sitting on the couch in quietness. Here's a picture of my progress:

The one on the right shows the color a lot better than the one on the left but the one on the left you can see the cable better. So yep, I spent 6 hours working on that fine piece of fabric.

I got the yarn from this shop called Let It Rain Yarn in Mukiteo Towncenter area. It's so awesome!

Okay, I have been knitting some of my cardigan since the last time I posted pictures... so here:

I've also been working on some mittens:

And here is a "Stupid Sock Creature" I made:

Okay, so that's it for pictures. Now it's time for talking and the rambling of me!

I currently am wishing so badly that I lived in Oswego New York. I WANT IT TO SNOW AGAIN! When will this huge winter snow storm come? They are only expecting rain this week and clearing this coming weekend and average temps around 40-50 degrees. Come on! Get colder! Get wetter! GET SNOWING! I just can't wait for this week to be over since next Monday is President's Day and my sister and I might go bowling. Hopefully. And I also can work on my sweater over the weekend. My butt hurts from sitting. Oh well. I love knitting and I think whoever invented knitting should be the king/queen of the world. And I also wish that every skein of yarn I touch could be free and I could knit super fast making these beautiful pieces and everyone at my school would be jealous of me and my mad skill. But now I have to focus on the reality and know that that will probably never happen but it's still a dream, right? Well, I am going to go on craftster.org and look around and maybe post a thing or two and then knit some more. And then knit during the Grammy's.

Wishing it was snowing...

I want to live in Oswego New York

Omg! On comcast.net, there is a small news report video about Oswego NewYork (upstate). They have 100 inches of snow! ANd they are still expecting more! Man, I really want to live there!!! I LOVE snow!

Anywho... I am off to play the sims...

Knitting since yesterday: nada. Nope, I have done zip worth of knitting. Do do do do dooo....

I plan to knit a bunch this weekend since there is absolutely nothing going on today, tomorrow, or the next day. I hope it snows here soon. I miss the snow and the excitment and the sleeping in.... :) I am so living on the East Coast when I am old enough to move out. First plane after graduation. Just kidding, not the first plane. But close.

YESSSSSSS!!!!!!!

FINALLY I got into the good health class! Someone finally dropped out of 6th period health and I got the spot!!!!

I am just really excited because I needed to transfer classes.

Okay, since I haven't posted anything for the longest time, which I deeply apologize for, I thought 'hey why not post on my blog while the sims game is being installed?' So I am.

The whole reason I want to play the sims now is that first off, I have solved the two newest nancy drew games and had unistalled it and second, I have been inspired for a family.

You will probably laugh your heart out but here it is: Romeo and Juliet. I know, I know... But there is an already made family showing each family and it looks so gosh darn interesting. So I thought... why not? I am not exactly sure if I want to install nightlife or open for business though. I probably will. The only reason that ROmeo and Juliet is inpiration is because we are currently reading it in English and I am finding it interesting. So there.

KNITTING WISE...

I haven't been doing an incredibly amount of knitting. Yes, I am STILL trying to find that gosh darn USB stinking cord. Where could a dumb piece of wire tubing go? Did it just run off somewhere and have a tea party or something? Goodness! Oh weel... I'll find it sooner or later. I'll probably "borrow" my sisters. She won't notice! :) Hopefully...

1) Blue Cardigan. I am within 10 rows of being done with the left front pannel. GAH! I am sooooo close. But it's still taking me forever.

2)Another Peedmont/Knitted Babes Doll. I decided to try to make anothe one since I have been longing to knit something with small ight stitches that will take me forever to knit. But I am excited. It's going to be a rocker/punk type person. They'll have overall dark brown hair with purple and dark red (maroon) colored streaks. But the hair will mainly be dark red and brown. And then I'll added touches like mascara and eye lyner and stuff. This doll will be an exact opposite to me... she'll have a dark sort of outfit or maybe her outfit will have really bright colors or something. I haven't decided yet, and I am waaaaay far away from that.

Here's a drawing:

This weekend is going to be sooo much fun!!!

I am really excited for this weekend. First, today I am going to the movies with and friend and we plan to see Blood and Chocolate. :) I have no idea what it's about and my friend that I am going with told me the whole plot and then I forgot but I still want to see it.

Later tonight, I am going bowling with my sister! :) I love bowling.
Then tomorrow, before the Super Bowl, my family and my dad's friend are going bowling. :) Did I say that I love bowling? Well, I guess I do! Then we'll come home and watch the game.

In the knitting world, I am almost 100% done with the front left pannel, it fascinates me that I take a year and a half to do the back, but then the front only takes me a week or so. Amazing...

I also have watermelon socks going, and these other dumb white stupid socks that are STUPID. I really really hate them. I think they are so ugly. I am considering only knitting the one sock and then never making its pair. Oh well.

Now, as I am getting everso closer to the end, that I want to knit another sweater. I was thinking of this. Any suggestions?

YAY!!! I am so happy that finals are over!

Day One of Finals:Over!

YESSSSS! I have surrivied my first final day! :)

My English final was rediculously easy. When I say easy, I mean EASY. The multiple choice pat was obvious. It was a major DUH.

Math was easy like I expected except a few things were hard. There was this one problem that didn't make any sense whatsoever.

I overall feel pretty good.

AMAZING THING IN THE KNITTING WORLD!!!
I just found out today in 2nd period that one of my good friends also knits! She was talking about how she was knitting along in 1st period and then suddenly her needle snapped! I was like OMG!So I talked to her about it. She is making this cool scarf that is checkered but double knit (purl side facing) It looks so awesome. I wanna make one now too!

I might possibly bring something to knit, like a scarf for something easy since tomorrow is going to be an easy final day. Since it's only really PE...thank god...

Anywho, I am going to go play Nancy Drew: Curse of Blackmoor Manor (which will probably freak me out!) :)

Finals start tomorrow!

This is both good and bad.

Good:
-no homework
-end of semester
-new classes next semester

Bad:
-I have to take finals
-The classes that I have finals in are 90 minutes. :(

Still can't find my dumb USB cord...it's somewhere...

Knitting update:

OMG, I have done a surprising amount of knitting over the last couple of days that it's rediculous...okay, not that rediculous, but I am halfway done with the front left pannel, on the sweater project that took me over a year and a half to make just the back. Amazng huh? Never knew that if I put my mind to it I could knit that much! This project is currently my main focus for me so I can keep my head in one place. Otherwise, I'd go crazy.

So get this, for my English final, I need to know the prologue to Romeo and Juliet (I already know it :) ), 30 literary devices, and be able to answer in detail 3 questions about TKAM. Whoop dee doo dah. To occupy myself, here are the literary devices:

Aliteration: repitition of consanants
Aliterative Sentence: sentence using aliteration throughout entire sentence
Allusion: reference to a person/story
Analogy: comparison between two things to show they are alike
Character: people, animals, main person or thing in the story
Conflict: the problem
Exaggeration: everstating/streching the truth
Forshadowing: use of clues or hints
Humor: something written to be funny subtle or obvious
Idiom: any figurative expression
Inference: something hinted at but not stated
Imagery: something that appeals to the five senses
Irony: contrast to what actually happened
Metaphor: uses 'is', like a simile
Onomatopeia: sounds that are written out
Oxymoron: opposites (ex. freezer burn)
Plot: story line
Point of View: view of the person or thing telling the story
Resolution: the resolved conflict, ending
Sarcasm: praise to mock someone
Setting: time and place
Simile: like, as, than compares with something else
Stream of Conciousness: writter writes what they are thinking as they are thinking it
Symbol: something that stands for something else
Synechdoche: using part of a whole to use the essential meaning (ex.military: army, navy, etc)
Theme: general idea of the story
Tone: attitude towards the reader

So that in addition to:

Two households both alike in dignity
In fair Verona, where we lay our scene
From ancient grudge break to new muntiny
Where civil blood makes civil hands unclean
From forth the fatal loins of these two foes
A pair of star-crossed lovers take their life
Whose misadventured piteous overthrows
Do with their death, bury their parents strife
The fearful passage of their death-marked love
And the continuance of their parents' rage
Which, but their childrens' end, nought could remove
Is now the two hours traffic of our stage;
The which if you with patient ears attend
What you shall miss, our toil shall strive to mend.

SO, I have to know that prologue and the literary devices above for English. Now, thats only English. My other final tomorrow is math. Which I am not too worried about since it's open note...THANK GOD.

My schedule for finals the rest of the week:

Wednesday: 2nd period and 5th period (English, Math)
Thurday: 3rd period and 6th period (Spanish, PE)
Friday: 1st period, 4 period (Science, Art)

My schedule next semester:

1st- coordinated science honors
2nd- english honors
3rd- spanish
4th- court/net sports
5th- geometry honors
6th- health

No fun classes this semester, I'm taking health since everything I want is full and I will eventually have to take health, so why not get it done now?

That's it for now, I promise pictures next time I get and next time I find my USB cord for my camera.

Dumb USB cord...

Okay, I would have posted pictures if only I new where my stupid USB cord went...

Today, there is lots to talk about.

First of all, I finally finished the back of my cardigan. Yes it did take me over a year and a half to do that (it wasn't the number on priority project, but now it is)! YAY! Now I am working on the front left pannel of the cardigan. Hopefully, the cardigan will be all downhill from here. Hopefully. I will be lucky if I finish it before I graduate high school. :)

Secondly, my family and I talked a great deal about the Farmer's Almanac. At least the weather portion of it... my dad is convinced that there will be no 'huge snow storm' in February, even though the Farmer's Almanac says that we will. My mom and my sister and I hope there will be snow. My mom and I decided that we are going to laugh if it does snow like a blizzard and then last for weeks. :) Hello snowdays!

Thirdly, I am thinking of a new knitting project to start soon. Yes, another knitting project. I got this green/blue/purple yarn that's really think and I really really like it (2 balls). So I am trying to figure out what I can make with it besides a scarf or hat or easy peasy project like that. Even though it would be cool if it was a hat...

Fourth, I am freaking out about finals. I have about 12 of the 14 lines of the prologue of Romeo and Juliet memorized. But I can't seem to remember the last two lines for the life of me. Then I still have to study for science. I am not too worried about math (open note), art (just coloring this small project thing), PE (just some physical tests), and spanish (I already did it, it was a presentation so I took it a week early) SO I am really only freaking out about Science and English.

Fifthly, I got a new Nancy Drew game. It's 'Double Dare Pack 3' which has the Secret of Shadow Ranch and the Curse of Blackmoor Manor. The Manor one is so going to freak me out. I am so flippin' excited! :)

So yep... hopefully I will find my USB cord soon... I'm going to go watch the Apprentice now. :)

-Adios-

Sorry...

I am really really sorry for not posting recently. THis last week has been the most stressful week-and it's not even finals yet! :( It sucks having to take finals.

So, the knitting side, I haven't really done much-been busy. No new yarn. No new books or patterns. No nothing.

Today I plan to go to Target and buy the Double Dare 3 pack which has two Nancy Drew games in one.

OMG... so today I was supposed to study with one of my fiends from noon to 5PM. Right? Well right not it's three and I just called her and she said she would be here at 3:30. Ooh, now we only have and hour and a half to study. Horah, that's so much time. :(

I'll post pictures tomorrow or whenever I get online next.

Sorry it's been so long, these last three days have been very stressful!

Once again, I am very sorry. Thanks bowling... I still love it though. But for my high school, we got 1st place out of our small district for JV and Varsity. And yes, Varsity is going to the districts at Glacier Lanes. I do not like Mt. Baker Lanes at all. I think those lanes suck since they didn't oil them last time we were there and I also did really bad.

Today I went to Barnes and Noble and returned a knitting book that I have already and I got these: (store credit + $12)

Sorry for the short post but I just wanted to say that I am still alive. :)

Snow Day #6! :)

This is a yay and nay since that now, if the school district doesn't erase all of the missed snow days or whatever. I will be getting out on July 2! Wahoo. Doesn't that sound exciting! Not. I mean it's really really nice to have snow, actually, I am very excited! Besides that fact that our bowling meet against Ferndale at Majestic Lanes is canceled and will probably me moved to sometime next week and then Districts will be moved and possibly State... Isn't snow pretty? I love it.

In the knitting world, there isn't much to say. I restarted the heel on my Bazaar Sock. I knitted a little on the white sock that I hate. It's really ugly. Hmmm, am I thinking Christmas Present? Do do do... :)

I'll probably make socks for all of my relatives this year since I am in a sock knitting mood.

Oh yeah, here are some pictures:

To make up for yesterday's no pictures. :)
Have a good day and I hope it snows!

Not much here

I would be posting pictures today, but can I find my USB cord to plug inmy camera to the computer? No. It's around here somewhere. Today my plan is to bowl with my sister at two and then the rest of the day, I am going to knit or finish one of the three sock patterns that I am currently knitting. I'll probably finish the white sock pair, then hopefully finish either the watermelon or the Bazaar Sock next.

Let me tell you that the Bazaar sock is the most intense pattern I've done. I currently have to redo the heel (I've only done like two rows) because I followed the pattern and I was knitting the side not the bottom of the sock. WHATEVER. Stupid sock pattern...

News about the blog, I have added a counter which I don't think will tell me very well who is on my blog because I am constantly looking at my blog to make sure that my edits are correct and so I probably add over half of the page views. Goodness, oh well.

Yep, it's pretty boring around here at 10:20 in the morning. I hear it's suppose to snow 2-4" but it won't last too long because warm weather is coming in right after it, I hope the snow last enough for a 2-hour delay or something. Kinda hoping snow day, but at the same time I really really want to bowl in the meet Tuesday.

THat's it for now. Once I find my stupid USB cord, I will post pictures.

It keeps on snowing and I keep on knitting!

Okay, so it seems that the winter weather is far from ending. My dad informed me at dinner tonight that it is suppose to snow 2-4" by Tuesday morning or on Tuesday. One of the two. Either way, I amd kinda excited but I really want to bowl again Ferndale Tuesday at Majestic Lanes. Guess what! I also get to bowl Thurday at Anacortes and Friday in Mt.Vernon! Anywho, back to the weather. So our little snow "flurry" ended up being an additional 0.5 inches. And guess what! It's been about 5 or so days since the last snow day and none of the snow has melted and normally at my house, I'm lucky if the snow is still here (in large amounts like the entire backyard) are white. SO this is a signal that the worst is yet to come! I LOVE snow. But I do get the feeling that a lot of people around here are getting really sick of the snow. They don't know what they are missing. I think that the reason that I love snow so much is because I think that I am really still a kid inside. I know, I know, technically I am still a kid but a lot of people my age are not cool enough to want to play in the snow.

Now I shall talk about knitting since that is the main reason I am typing right now. Here are some things that I have knitted today. Yes, during the football game. Me gusta ver americano futbol. (I like to watch american football) By the way the Seahawks lost and now I have no interest in watching the other games except the Super Bowl (which my family and I like to refer to the stupid bowl as of two years ago untill the Seahawks finally got to the Super Bowl) But steering away from the play by play football, I knitted these while watching the game:

I got the lemon and lime pattern from Jess Hutch but I made the apple and banana on my own without a pattern.

I also knitted some of my sock since I last posted on here. I'll post a picture tomorrow. Same with the bazaar sock. If I posted a picture of it tonight, then you won't see much progress from yesterday, so I thought I would at least finish my current band before I showed more. So I am still knitting. I actually spent all day knitting and watching tv.

I think the snow really mentally makes me knit. I will never know. All I know is that I love knitting and I love snow.
