New Year Knitting

I have no idea on what my first project of the new year should be. I want it to be something spactacular and different that I've never tried before but at the same time I love the pattern. (I find it unappealing to knit something that I hat since when I am forced to do so, it takes me forever to do)

I am going to start my SUPER SEARCH. First I will go to the knitting pattern central, then crochet pattern central, look at the links in my 'really good knitting pattern' folder in my favorites and then end in craftster.org. If I can't find anything in any of those, then well, I'm screwed. I'll just make up some makeshift pattern of some sorts. idunno. Well, I'm off. If anyone who reads this wants to make a comment and reccomend a really really really good pattern that would be awesome.

Okay, I'm feeling better

If you read the post from my other blog (loveyarn.blogspot.com) then you would have seen that I was really really really mad. I was typing in fury. :) Anywho.

Here are the pictures of the cardigan that I am still working on. :) (I am a lot farther than what these pictures show because I have been working on it a lot since last September/August)

This is Mr.Snowy. He was created in the last big snow storm in the Pacific Northwest area. Yep, that was November. I loved that month. I also love snow, wind, rain, and pretty much extreme weather except tornadoes or hurricanes or tropical storms. But yeah. Isn't he cute?

My plan for the rest of today is to play Nancy Drew: Haunted Carousel and possibly Nancy Drew: Danger at Deception Island.

I NEED YOUR HELP!

Okay, so I have a job for you! Yes you!

I am dying here havig no idea on what to knit. I am desperate and willing to knit anything (okay, not anything, but you catch my drift). I would like all entrys by Thursday (sometime) or Friday.

P.S. When I'm done with the selected project, then I will show tons of pictures.

Christmas Holidays!

Oh! I just love the winter holidays!

First of all, for Christmas my favorite thing I got would probably be the sewing machine that I got from my parents! I LOVE IT! It's definately my favorite thing that I got this year. My mom's going to show me how to use it tomorrow! I'm so excited. I spent most of today cleaning my room. But the I had bowling practice and I got new bowling shoes! Hehe...

I love this time on year!

Merry Christmas Eve Eve

Isn't he just the cutest little thing?

Here is the lovely dinosaur I was talking about yestery in my long post. Thank goodness I finished and wrapped it yesterday! I also finished the husky scarf, I show pictures after Christmas because I already wrapped it.

So currently, I have no more knitting for any Christmas presents. YAY! The only other possible thing I could do is felt this knitted bowl for my dad. Hopefully it will dry in time. I'll have to felt it after my mom finishes the thousand upon thousands of presents she claims that she got. Trying to make me suspicious, huh? Well it's not working-okay it's working, I'm just so excited for Christmas. It's, by far, my favorite holiday of the year. Yes, some of it is the presents. But I also look forward to my family hanging out together and church. Since my family only goes on Christmas Eve. But that makes it special.

Not much else to talk about. I'm forced to stay in the office until my mom's done wrapping. So I'm going to guess that it's going to be a couple of hours. So I've equipped myself with the computer and the Sims 2 game in hand, which I won't get bored (hopefully) for a couple of more hours.

Here's a picture of how far I am on my mittens I started this morning:

That's my mitten! 1st one of the pair and I have this cool pattern going on. But you can't really see it yet...

Merry Christmas Eve Eve! And happy holidays to everyone!

Stressed Out

Oh my goodness! There is so much knitting to do and so little time. Sorry for not having pictures yet. I will hopefully be able to do that soon.

Current things to do today:

1. Felt a mini felted bowl that I knitted last night.

2. Knit the legs and sew them to the body of a toy dinosaur.

3. Finish knitting the world's longest scarf (sure feels like it).

4. Wrap the felted bowl, dinosaur, scarf, and this other box thing.

Besides that, I have pretty much nothing else to do.

Yesterday was a very long day. I spend 2 hours in the morning (10:00 to noon) knitting the cape and head and arms for the dinosaur PLUS embroidering the cape and sewing on felted triangles for the dino's back. Don't forget the stuffing too.

Then, after those long two hours, I started cleaning. Yes me, only me. Since my parents were at work and so was my sister. I first started with the mountain of wrapping paper trimmings that were scattered among the dining room table. Included with the wrapping paper was also misc. bow adhesive tags and sticker pages. Then I tackled the growing pile of mail and newspaper that my mom had'nt read yet. Goodness, three days worth of newspaper not read. What does she do everyday? Anywho, then I swept the floor, which had more dirt and dust than I've EVER seen in my life. My family really needs to take housecleaning classes. Especially my sister who thinks that cleaning the bathroom is lightly scrubbing the inside of the toilet with toilet brush and toilet washing gunk and wiping down the sink. When really, cleaning the bathroom consists of swiffering the floor, vacuuming the rug and extra hair on the floor, spraying Kaboom on the counter and wiping it down, windexing the mirror, empty the garbage, wiping down the outside of the toilet, scrubbing the inside of the toilet, and splashing water in the tub to get the dirt out. The second list is what I do. Now if someone was cleaning your bathroom, would you want the skimpy job? Or the intense super clean version? I would go with the super intense clean version.

Continueing on my cleaning spree, I also vacuumed all of the carpet, cleaned TWO bathrooms, washed the kitchen floor (swiffered), orgainized the kitchen, dining room, and living room. OOH! FUNNY STORY: Okay, so I was vacuuming the carpet in my room, right? So I was right next to one of my socks (not exactly my favorite sock but still a sock) and my vacuum sucked up the scok! I was like "NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!" So I ended up having to take the bag out of the vacuum cleaner and put a new bag in. Luckily I was able to get the dirty sock out of the bag since it wasn't extremely far in the bag. :)

So yeah.

Last night, I stayed up to 5:45 am this morning. That was after I fell asleep for 2 hours during Selena. I want to watch the end of that movie so badly! It's driving my crazy because I know something bad happpened to her but I don't know what it is! Because I was watching the movie last week in Spanish. And last Friday we were suppose to get doughnuts and watch the end of the movie but we had no school because of power issues with the most recent storm that came through. Grr. I was so mad. Anywho (I totally know how to stay on topic), then I woke up and went to my room and knitted for the next three hours on the huskey scarf and I only have 3 or 4 more stripes to HOPEFULLY do. If not 3 or 4, then it'll be 9 to 10 rows. Gah. I squirm at the thought. I am not going to knit ANY scarves for ANYONE next Christmas. Too many hours of riggorous monotony. Sounds exciting, huh?

I think I am going to go felt the short knitted bowl so it can hopefully dry in time.

TOO MANY PROJECTS, TOO LITTLE TIME!

Currently life is crazier than it's been in a long time. I bet it's the Christmas Season coming in less than two weeks. So far here are my plans:

Aunt- Watercolor Painting Framed
Uncle 1 and 2- each get a stripped felted bowl
Grandpa- Watercolor Painting Framed
Grandma- Watercolor Painting
Aunt's Mom (the most wonderful person ever because she taught me how to knit)- a plain blue cardigan (yes, the one I've been working on for over 6 months)
Mom- I'm not sure quite yet, most likely a watercolor painting, scarf, or fingerless gloves/possibly mittens, or slippers. (still thinking)
Dad- Robot doll (named Tobor), felted bowl,
Sister- Husky Scarf (she's a big fan), knitting supplies (I recently taught her how to knit so she deserves a knitting bag plus something to start off the huge collection she will have in the next 20 years), yarn, and something else that I am forgetting right now.

It's so hard to knit for people in my family because I always hope they love what I give them and that I spent several hours and hours slaving over hot needles to have them just discard into their everso growing mountain of knitted stuff that I have made for them. HOPEFULLY that's not the case. But I know that my sister sometimes doesn't keep things I make for her. She's evedn given me back what I knitted for her. Sometimes a couple months later or even the same moment I give it to her. Just like, nope, don't want it. Can you say REJECTION?

My major goals are to:
1. get every single project off every single pair of needles I own
2. start off the new year with limited number of projects on the needles
3. finish all Christmas knitting gifts before the end of next Monday (the 18, of December) Even if that means several all knitting nighters.
4. If I can, get the projects off the needles before x-mas, if not, then New Years.

Minor goals are:
1. Try not to argure with my sister
2. Get all of the gifts I'm giving under the tree before x-mas eve
3. Clean my room (it's a pit)
4. Make yummy sugar cookies for bowling xmas party.
5. Make sugar cookies for family for x-mas.

That's pretty much it for now. So yeah. Hasta luego!

Christmas Gift Making Time!

Okay, so it's the day after Thanksgiving. I had a lot of fun hanging out with my family and relitives. Between now the the week before Christmas, I will be in knitting for people's xmas gifts mode.

So far I have finished 2 gifts. Each were feltable bowls. Turned out pretty darn good if you ask me. Anywho, I am also making that blue cardigan, a stuffed animal (actually two), a lap blanky, and a pair of socks.

The good thing about the pair of socks is that I've already finished the first part of the pair and I'm almost halfway done with the second one. So I hope to finish it today. Then the first stuffed animal I'm about halfway done. I could probably finish that today or tomorrow. The second stuffed animal is less than an eigth done, so it needs a lot of work. The lap blanky is being made on my knitting machine so it won't take that long. I'll probably also finish that this weekend. Hmmm, the cardigan. The most ambitious project in my knitting career. It'll take awhile but I'm almost done with the back so it won't take that long. I only have to do the two front sides and the sleeves, plus the collar and buttons, which reminds me that I need to get buttons soon.

Besides that, I have absolutely nothing to do. :)

"Test"

Okay, this is my first try making a second blog. Hope it works! Well, this blog is going to be all of my knitting projects I am currently working on/patterns of some other patterns.
